Martin Industries Fireplace? Not Anymore

If you own a Martin Industries Fireplace, Martin Gas Logs, or any Martin Heath and Heating product, you may be a little frustrated. Spending your time trying to locate parts, service, or any assistance is fruitless. The reason for your frustration is because Martin Industries went out of business in 2003.

It’s a sad story, really. Martin Industries’ roots dated back to 1905. And, according to referenceforbusiness.com, the company at one point generated more than $90 million per year in sales. Yet even with tens of millions in annual revenue, they were operating at a loss. Much of this is said to be from their inability to manufacture and ship their products on-time. According to the Birmingham Business Journal, Martin sold to Monessen Hearth Systems Co of Paris, KY, in March of 2003  for $3.7 million.

How Do You Get Parts or Support For Your Martin Industries Products?

Well, that question is a bit tricky. Many people searching for Martin Industries find Martin Sales & Service Inc instead. The problem with that is they are a local brick and mortar store in Butler, Pennsylvania. Although they sell fireplaces, inserts, gas logs, and such, they’ve never sold nor are they familiar with Martin Industries products. So no parts, no service, no support, and if you aren’t in their local service area, Martin Sales & Service cannot even sell you a new unit.

The answer is . . .

Your best bet is to contact Monessen. We aren’t sure if they can help you with parts or service advice. But you may be able to talk them into giving you a coupon to use at a local dealer that sells Monessen or other Hearth and Home Technologies brands. What have you got to lose?
